What is your role at Streets Imaging and what does it involve?
I’m the boss man. It sounds corny but I’m here to serve my staff. My job is to make sure they have everything they need to do their job, do it really well and have enjoyable place to work in.
What relevant experience/education do you bring to the table?
I studied design & Marketing, then spent time in sales, followed by consulting businesses on marketing and management, followed by running a school photography business – which is how I came to be a Streets client myself. I’ve grown up around cameras with my folks’ photography business so finally here I am following in their shoes.
What makes you great at what you do?
Coffee, lots and lots of coffee.
What’s your favourite thing about coming to Streets every day?
Walking through the production area and taking in all the amazing images sliding out of printers, getting mounted, framed or wrapped on canvas stretchers. It seriously gives me warm and fuzzies seeing that all this brilliant work coming through. Also I love working with positive people who are interested in collaborating or working to improve their business.
Tell me a bit about your hobbies/interests?
What I used to spend on my hobbies I now mostly spend on my kids’ hobbies/sports. Still I make sure I get some time to myself, which i spend reading or playing indoor or outdoor soccer.
